Lewis Hamilton claimed his sixth FIA Formula One World Championship title as Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport took a 1-2 at Austin!
The British driver finished the race in second position, after starting fifth on the grid, securing another drivers championship after those of 2008 with McLaren and 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport.
This result marked the eighth podium for Lewis at the United States Grand Prix, breaking Michael Schumacher’s record for most podiums at the race. But unavoidably, more comparisons between those two emerge. After all, the German is considered by most as the Greatest of All Time. But yet, one by one, his records are being broken.

Having said that, Hamilton has already surpassed Michael in categories such as most poles and by next season, he will do the same on most podiums category and possibly on most wins. The latter would mean that he will be in strong position for next year’s title too!
Schumacher is still the only driver in the history of Formula 1 with seven titles to his name. The question is… “for how long”?
