The new version of the Aura 51, now featuring the 2027 model year, completes the renewal of the
Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans range with its new naming.
With FP51, the shipyard evolves into a well-established model, preserving the qualities that made it successful while introducing new features designed to meet today’s onboard uses. Design, equipment, and life on board evolve through carefully considered updates, in a spirit of continuity and everyday comfort.
The FP51 will be unveiled in preview at the Fountaine Pajot Open Days in La Rochelle, from July 2 to 4, 2026, offering the opportunity to discover this new version firsthand. Designed to support both private cruising and more intensive sailing programs, the FP51 retains the overall balance of the model while incorporating targeted developments. These updates focus on design, ergonomics, and equipment, with a clear objective: to simplify sailing and enhance the onboard experience.
A DESIGN AND HELM STATION THAT EVOLVE FOR THE PLEASURE OF SAILING
The FP51 features a new hull livery, aligned with the visual identity of the latest generation of Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, clearly affirming its position within the range. The helm station has been completely redesigned to deliver a more comfortable and intuitive sailing experience. The new helm console accommodates larger, better-positioned navigation screens, providing improved readability underway. A hard top completes the setup, offering enhanced protection for the helmsman, both at sea and at anchor.
EVEN SIMPLER MANOEUVERS, WITH EVOLVING DECK HARDWARE
Deck equipment has evolved to support an even smoother and more relaxed sailing. The FP51 integrates next-generation Lewmar deck hardware, including tracks and ball-bearing blocks, contributing to smoother maneuvers and increased equipment durability. A lashing system developed with Incidence Sails now allows the mainsail to be hoisted effortlessly. Already proven on FP41 and FP44, this solution is now available on this new version of FP51. The running rigging has also been reinforced to ensure improved durability over time, particularly in her context of
regular use.
MORE COMFORT AND FLUIDITY ON BOARD
From a technical standpoint, FP51 features a remote battery cut-off switch, accessible from the interior electrical panel, simplifying day-to-day power management and enhancing onboard safety. The new exterior upholstery, introduced on recent models in the range, is now available on FP51, offering improved material quality and durability. Additional finishing refinements have also been made in the cabins, contributing to a greater sense of comfort and perceived quality, without any changes to volumes or interior layout.
