Ferretti Group obtains the RINA Biosafety Trust Certification

Ferretti Group has obtained from RINA the Biosafety Trust Certification, the first certification scheme for management systems to prevent and control the spread of infections in order to protect people’s health.

Compliance with the requirements was verified by RINA through an audit of documentation and the Group’s operating units. Ferretti Group is the first company in the yachting sector to obtain this certification, which is designed to minimise health risks. This is thanks to the Group’s commitment to putting health first by adopting preventive safety measures, which culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the National Trade Unions on 16 April. Following the positive outcome of the audit, RINA highlighted that the inspection confirmed the full e implementation of measures at an operational level and the fact that staff at all levels had been made aware of the new measures.”
The certification, which is valid for three years and involves periodic inspections, enables the Ferretti Group to consolidate the significant investments that it has made towards protecting the occupational well-being of employees and achieving further numerous advantages. These include improved risk management capability, a guarantee of a higher quality service for customers, responsiveness in the event of an accident, greater stakeholder confidence, reduced direct and indirect costs due to potential interruptions to business continuity and lower exposure to financial risks.
“Our people’s health is our top priority”, commented Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, “and this important certification rewards the measures that Ferretti Group has taken and the commitment that we have all made in recent months to ensure total safety in our workplaces. Health and sustainability are fundamental values in any industrial strategy.”

Paolo Moretti, CEO of RINA Services, added, “In pursuing and obtaining this certification, Ferretti Group has demonstrated special attention to human capital. The company promptly reacted to the emergency situation with a responsible approach even prior to the legislative responses, effectively protecting employees and collaborators.”

The Biosafety Trust Certification is part of a virtuous path pursued by Ferretti Group, which aims to increase the sustainability of its business operations. Through its reduced environmental impact, support for the local communities and areas where the six shipyards are located, and constant attention to the well-being and health of workers and ship-owners, the Group aims to promote sustainable attitudes throughout the supply chain and to involve all its stakeholders.
