Aimed at superyacht designers and interior specialists, Oceanair is proud to debut their new Designer Venetian blind slat collection.

Ιnspiration for the collection has been drawn from diverse areas - from nature to the automotive industry - and thus features a wide collection of materials from luxurious natural varieties of wood, leathers and bamboos to powerful aluminium metallic colours. There is an increasing desirability by superyacht owners and designers to use the classically simple and elegant Venetian blind, especially due to its ability to create onboard atmosphere and mood through simply diffusing light through a chosen slat. The new Designer collection aims to meet every interior design need and inspire through its variance and choice. From exotic bamboo and glossy or matt finishes to frosted laminated slats, the very latest tastes and trends are tailored for, meaning any desired style and environment can be achieved onboard any superyacht.

Ian Howarth, Oceanair's Sales & Marketing Director, explains; "Oceanair is really excited about our new designer slat collection. There is so much choice in texture, material, finish and colour; all interior desires can be met. Oceanair's SKYVENETIAN blinds take light management and room temperature control to a new level of style and the slat collection is the perfect complement, bringing personalised enchanting detail to any interior. We are very excited about launching the range to the perfect audience of designers and superyacht owners."

Wireless Blind Operation From a Mobile Device

With an emphasis firmly placed on simplicity and ease of use, Oceanair is proud to announce the launch of RadioRA®2 – a compact and practical Homeworks system, providing electric blind and curtain control, wirelessly from a mobile device.

A mains powered small wireless receiver is plugged into the blind or curtains, and then the components in RadioRA®2 'talk' to each other through wireless technology, making blind operation easy. Compatible with the very latest iDevices, blinds and curtains can be controlled from the touch of a button. Furthermore, RadioRA®2 is scalable, meaning it can be used in a single room, a few rooms, or throughout an entire vessel or property. The system can be expanded as desired, and also integrated into other light and temperature systems that may be installed.

Oceanair is always looking to push the boundaries of blind design and control and is proud that this latest innovation of RadioRA®2 technology sets the bar for reliability, precision and accuracy. This unique system uses a dedicated network, a quiet frequency band (essentially free of interference) and group commands to ensure smooth communication between the system devices is reliably delivered and simultaneous response.

Available across Oceanair's diverse range of electrically powered blinds and curtains, Oceanair offers a complete turn-key service with a full installation and integration package available.

Skyvenetian Leather Blinds

Marine blind experts, Oceanair, is delighted to introduce their leather Venetian blind range with curved aluminum slats. Interior designers will be captivated by the way the curved slat accentuates natural light lines and highlights the texture of the leather fabric covering the slat.

The benefits of the aluminum slat continue through its inherent strength which offers greater stiffness and structural rigidity. This means that the slats can be longer, covering larger window areas, and can mean the difference between needing one blind or two in a window. The desirability, by superyacht owners and designers, of these classically simple English made Venetian blinds bring together warmth, practical styling and enchanting detail to add the perfect accent to any superyacht interior.

Oceanair also introduced the new aluminum slat to create a thinner slat overall when covered in leather (compared to a wooden one). With a smaller overall slat thickness, and in turn, overall blind thickness, this creates a more contemporary, sleeker looking blind. Yet whilst the slat is thinner, because it is curved, at horizontal tilt cabin privacy is still maintained. The use of aluminum slats also results in a smaller stack height, enabling the blind to fit neatly into smaller recess areas and disappear further from view giving a tidy and elegant appearance when not in use.

The aluminum slat can be covered in real or faux leather, with matching or contrast stitching, with leathers specified by the customer or premium quality leather chosen from Oceanair's Fabric Collection.

Dedicated to innovation, Oceanair's unparalleled ability to supply these blinds with a range of motor options makes this offer both modern and unique.
