Fairline: Two world debuts at Cannes Yachting Festival 2022

British luxury motor yacht manufacturer Fairline has announced it will be making two world debuts at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the all-new Phantom 65 and Squadron 68.

The Phantom 65 is Fairline’s first sportbridge yacht bringing an incredibly clean and modern design to the model range. It offers a huge array of al-fresco dining, entertaining and lounging spaces to soak up the sun. Synchronising the volume of a Squadron, the Phantom brings the streamlined proportions of a Targa, epitomising luxury, handling, performance and space.

The exterior of the Phantom 65 is based on the technical platform of the award-winning Targa 65 featuring sleek lines and large, expansive hull windows teamed with a glazed sunroof to bathe the interior with natural light. It also boats a tender garage suitable for a Williams 345 SportJet and offers two engine options – twin Caterpillar C18-1150’s with 31-knot performance, or twin V12 Caterpillar C32-1622’s reaching in excess of 35 knots.

The main deck of the Phantom 65 is made for flexible entertaining. It brings the owner an abundance of usable spaces, from generous dining to comfortable saloon seating. At its core, the Phantom 65 offers effortless flow, blending seamlessly from one space to another, creating a haven of tranquillity to relax in.

The stunning Squadron 68, which was announced last year, will be making its show debut in the south of France enabling visitors to see its new, subtly revised exterior, new sleek hardtop and new interior design.

The revised exterior has updated hull windows to bring the design inline with other Fairline models, as well as a new sleek hardtop with fabric sliding sunroof and integrated electric sunshade aft. Inside, the main deck caters for multiple entertaining spaces – from generous dining to comfortable saloon seating. It boasts a new galley design maximising workspace and increasing fridge/freezer capacity, and also incorporates a sociable bar which extends into the cockpit. The new design also comes with the option of a tri-fold patio door and lower helm side access door, which buyers seeking a flowing indoor/outdoor feel will love.

The interior layout of the updated Squadron 68 has been completely refreshed and its lower deck is available in either three or four cabins. As with the Phantom 65, the master cabin comes complete with a king-sized bed, bureau with stool and drawer storage to starboard, and a large port side sofa. The guest cabin has more width than the previous model, with an electric bed conversion option to convert the twin berths into a double, as does the Phantom 65. The new interior design with updated materials and finishes throughout is complemented with a refined and neutral colour palette, giving owners a real modern feel.

Paul Grys, Fairline Yachts’ CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be making two world debuts at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. Having taken onboard feedback from customers to further improve the Squadron 68, we’re confident buyers will fall in love with it as much as we have. New and exciting products breed growth in this market and the response we have received for our latest models is incredible. The investment made in new products underpins our future growth and we’ve got an exciting period ahead of us. We’re really looking forward to hearing what visitors to the stand think when they see them in person.”
