Overmarine Group debuts the Mangusta GranSport 50 at Palm Beach, merging high-speed performance with the spacious luxury of displacement vessels.
Overmarine Group has announced the official presentation of the Mangusta GranSport 50, set to take place during the Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida. This new model represents the latest addition to the shipyard’s GranSport line, incorporating technical features aimed at combining high-speed performance with the interior volumes traditionally offered by displacement vessels. The selection of this specific event for the yacht’s premiere highlights the significance of the international market for this category of superyachts.
Architectural design and performance
The design of the Mangusta GranSport 50 is based on an approach described by the shipyard as a “metamorphosis” of the series’ existing standards. The vessel’s architecture attempts to balance the functional characteristics of a sport yacht with the capacity of larger pleasure craft. The exterior lines, a result of the collaboration with designer Alberto Mancini, are characterized by aerodynamic aesthetics, while the use of aluminum in the hull construction contributes to weight reduction and increased efficiency during navigation.
On the technical front, the Mangusta GranSport 50 is equipped with a fast displacement hull, allowing it to reach a top speed of 28 knots. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the vessel maintains long-range cruising capabilities, with an autonomy of up to 3,500 nautical miles at cruising speed. This combination of speed and range makes the model suitable for both coastal transitions and transatlantic voyages, offering operational flexibility according to the owner’s needs.
Layout focuses on maximum functionality
The layout focuses on optimizing the outdoor environment and ensuring maximum functionality. At the stern, the beach club extends over 68 square meters and features fold-out side platforms that expand the available space above the water’s surface. On the foredeck, an infinity pool is positioned in a way that does not obstruct the storage of tenders, which are housed in a dedicated garage directly beneath. The interior spaces are distinguished by the use of extensive glass surfaces, allowing natural light to enter and enhancing the visual connection with the surroundings.
The participation of the Mangusta GranSport 50 in the Palm Beach International Boat Show is part of Overmarine Group’s strengthened presence in the United States. The Palm Beach show is considered a pivotal event for the superyacht industry, attracting a significant number of professionals and stakeholders from around the world. The presentation of this new model is expected to reaffirm the shipyard’s direction toward creating vessels that integrate technological innovation with contemporary aesthetics, meeting the evolving demands of the global yachting market.
