Day 2 at Seaquip 2026: Networking and innovation take center stage

SEAQUIP 2026’s second day saw industry leaders and journalists strengthening business connections through high-level networking, innovative digital systems, and technical conferences.

The second day of SEAQUIP confirmed the growing interest in this new B2B event dedicated to yachting and marine equipment. Professionals, companies and journalists animated the exhibition areas, moving between stand visits and the Deck Area, direct meetings with exhibitors and scheduled sessions, strengthening business connections and anticipating the themes of the most attended panels of the event.

Francesco Carmaschi, Head of Sales at Osculati, one of Europe’s leading companies in nautical accessories, commented: “We are very satisfied with the high-quality meetings we had during the fair. We believe this event, also supported by a strategic logistical location, has all the potential to grow further, expanding the number of participants and establishing itself as an international point of reference.”

Mattia Forzani, OEM Key Account & Export Manager at Oioli Rubinetterie, a company making its debut in the nautical sector on the occasion of its participation in SEAQUIP 2026, commented: “We appreciated the excellent organization of SEAQUIP, particularly the innovative badge system, which made registration and access to individual stands simple and immediate. Our first participation in the nautical sector proved to be very positive.”

Expert insights and future technologies

Among the industry professionals visiting the fair was Enrico Ferlazzo, Project Manager at Antonini Navi, part of the Antonini Group, which operates in the production of full-custom yachts and refitting. He commented: “This fair represents a great opportunity for us to meet new suppliers and engage with professionals who do not always attend other international events. We also perceived strong interest from visitors, some of whom have already expressed their intention to return next year as exhibitors. The digital badge system is another innovative element that facilitates networking among industry operators.”

The second day of the fair was also animated by a rich program of conferences and talks. The first panel of the day was titled Additive manufacturing sets sail in the marine industry and featured Superfici Scrl, AOC, 3ntr, Ideal-Form Srl, MadeInAdd and Physis PEB – Politecnico di Milano. The discussion was moderated by Fabio Bignolini, Co-founder & CEO of nlcomposites. The conference focused on new materials and construction techniques for boats and yachts, with particular reference to 3D printing. The panel provided an interesting exchange on environmental, technical and regulatory issues, starting from the challenges offered by additive manufacturing in nautical construction.

Sustainable solutions and material innovation

Organized by UCIF | ANIMA Confindustria Meccanica, the conference Surface finishing and environmental challenges in the offshore industry featured Savim Europe, Kenosistec, Geico, Verind, Fismet Service and POLIEFUN. The main topics of the debate were the application, maintenance and sustainability of marine surface treatments for hulls and components, starting from the evolution of surface treatment in offshore environments between innovation and sustainability.

Herambiente organized the conference Regeneration of carbon fibre composites: the challenge of Herambiente’s FIB3R plant for a circular nautical supply chain, featuring FIB3R, Sanlorenzo Yacht, the University of Bologna and Angeloni Group. The debate focused on the presentation of FIB3R, Herambiente–Hera Group’s industrial-scale carbon fibre composite regeneration plant, the first facility in Europe capable of regenerating carbon fibre on a large scale in order to recover and reuse composite materials from yachts and boats, thereby reducing environmental impact and paving the way for a sustainable yet high-performance nautical supply chain. In addition to these panels, StandOut Speeches were held at the stands of Nuncas Italia, Mimetika Yacht Wrapping, and Sonos.

Tomorrow’s program, marking the final day of this first edition, will feature further discussion opportunities, with two panels titled Marketing in the nautical sector: how to create memorable experiences along the luxury customer journey and From ambition to implementation: how Italian excellence is shaping the path toward responsible interiors.
