The ClubSwan 28 has been named 2025 Boat of the Year by Sailing World, one of the most authoritative and long-established magazines in the international sailing industry. The award is assigned annually by an independent jury of experienced sailors, designers, and industry experts, following extensive on-the-water testing and evaluation.
This prestigious recognition confirms the ClubSwan 28 as a benchmark in its category, standing out for innovation, performance, and design quality among a highly competitive field of new yachts.
The ClubSwan 28 is the smallest yacht ever produced by Nautor Swan, yet it represents a powerful concentration of technology, speed, and pure sailing enjoyment. Designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, like the other yachts in the ClubSwan range, the ClubSwan 28 combines high-performance racing features with exceptional ease of handling.

The original concept was conceived and strongly supported by Federico Michetti, now Nautor Swan’s Southern Europe Commercial Director who for many years, together with Luisa Bambozzi, was a driving force behind the ClubSwan project.
The ClubSwan 28 delivers an immediate sensation of power on the water, thanks to its exceptionally stiff hull. A particularly distinctive feature is the mast adjustment system, supported by standing rigging without a backstay. This solution simplifies gybes while allowing precise and effective control of sail power. Thanks to its overall simplicity, after transportation the boat can be launched and fully set up in less than four hours.
“I am truly delighted with this award,” said Federico Michetti. “It recognizes our effort to enter a highly competitive one-design market in the eight-meter range. The challenge was to maintain the high standards of performance, innovation, and build quality that define our shipyard, while at the same time offering a boat that is easy to manage throughout the racing season, especially when moving between regatta venues. The ClubSwan 28 is extremely fun to helm and delivers outstanding performance, particularly under gennaker.”
The ClubSwan 28 was first presented at the 2024 Rolex Swan Cup, where it generated strong interest among Swan owners. The yacht will next be showcased at the Düsseldorf Boat Show, alongside the Swan 51.

At the heart of the European ClubSwan Racing calendar, the ClubSwan 28 season will culminate with the Rolex Swan Cup in September in Porto Cervo. Starting this season, the model will also feature in a dedicated American racing circuit, bringing the ClubSwan atmosphere and lifestyle to the United States.
The ClubSwan 28 American calendar will begin on February 18 and will include a total of eight events, concluding with the World Championship. The season will start in Pensacola, Florida, with three monthly events from February. The fleet will then move to Newport in June and July for two intense race weekends, before returning to Florida to conclude the season with final events in October and November.
