The superyacht industry has a new rising star: the 55m GALENE yacht, launched last month by Amels and available for charter exclusively with Y.CO from summer 2020.
The motor yacht is the latest Amels vessel from its hugely successful Limited Edition range, born out of the desire to build extremely high quality yachts for sale with shorter lead times. Using tried-and-tested engineering and construction processes, Amels ensures higher quality, lower technical risk and significantly faster delivery than a fully custom built yacht. With more than 40 superyachts having been built since the concept was introduced in 2005, the Limited Edition range is considered to be one of the most successful semi-custom ranges in the industry. The brand new GALENE yacht is a true testament to the ideology of this range. Sold in January 2019, she hit the water some 14 months later. Elouise Reiff, project manager of Amels latest Limited Edition range, said on the completion: “The team did the name GALENE justice. I am very proud of the hard work done by everyone involved. Through their efforts the launch went smoothly and according to plan.”
The superyacht’s name derives from the Ancient Greek word meaning serenity, tranquility and calmness. Galene in Greek mythology was a goddess personifying calm seas. Designed by Tim Heywood and featuring an airy and art deco inspired interior by Laura Sessa, GALENE is all set to make the perfect luxury charter vessel for up to 12 guests and 11 crew.
Like many Amels yachts for sale, GALENE boasts an impressive range of leisure and entertainment facilities which will ensure that guests on board want for nothing during their family vacation. Amenities include a beach club, sunpads, swimming platform, Jacuzzi and gym equipment as well as large decks for sunbathing and relaxation.
Below deck, GALENE’S accommodation is situated in five spacious staterooms, with the owner’s suite featuring a folding balcony, his and hers bathroom facilities and wardrobes. Four other equally stylish guest cabins are located on the lower deck.
The beautiful GALENE yacht is available for charter this summer under the captaincy of James Verity and his dynamic and energetic crew.
