BMT Set to Showcase Expertise at Monaco Yacht Show

Celebrating nearly 30 years of innovative design, leading naval architects BMT Nigel Gee will be exhibiting at the 25th Monaco Yacht Show this month within the Superyacht UK Pavilion.

This will be the company’s tenth year of exhibiting at this prestigious event which will see M/Y Okto, ISA’s biggest launch to date, taking pride of place at the show. Naval architects, structural and mechanical engineers from BMT worked with ISA to develop and optimise Okto’s hull, culminating in a design development and testing regime more in line with the testing carried out on specialist commercial vessels. James Roy, Yacht Design Director at BMT Nigel Gee explains: “A careful blend of traditional and cutting edge technologies were used in the development of Okto’s hull form and it’ll be exciting to see it at Monaco this year.”

A new design, supported by BMT Nigel Gee, which is both technically and aesthetically innovative, will be unveiled by the SINOT team at the show. Oceanco’s stand will also showcase a stunning model of the 105m Vitruvius, the first collaborative project between Oceanco and Vitruvius Yachts, with naval architecture and engineering supplied by the BMT-Oceanco team.

James Roy continues: “We’re currently working on 11 yacht projects ranging from 18m to 150m+ in length providing support to smaller production boat builders through to the provision of naval architecture, detail design and engineering to some of the world’s leading shipyards for superyachts. Monaco Yacht Show is the perfect platform for us to showcase our extensive knowledge and experience.”

Naval architects and technical experts will be on hand at the BMT Nigel Gee stand which is situated within the Darse Sud section, stand number QS30.
