Drawing on the knowledge gained from the BGH-HSV – the world’s first hydrogen-powered foiling chase boat flying at 50 knots with zero emissions at the 37th America’s Cup – Bluegame has embraced the opportunity to bring the cutting-edge spirit of the BGH-HSV into the world of recreational yachting. From a one-off exercise designed for extreme challenges, to a concrete and disruptive new range of boats, reimagined for visionary owners seeking something truly different, something that doesn’t exist yet.
A key force behind this development has been the continued collaboration with Mario Caponnetto and Francis Hueber, renowned hydrodynamics experts. Having worked closely with Bluegame team on the BGH-HSV project, they are once again contributing their expertise to the BGF45, helping to refine the hull design and push its performance to new heights.

From the America’s Cup directly to the future
The BGF45 represents a significant advancement in the multihull segment, achieving outstanding results through strategic collaborations with leading industry partners such as Volvo, Garmin, and Siemens-Innovative Technology Partner. The 45-foot multihull is designed to deliver outstanding performance with reduced environmental impact. Her foil-assisted system, located between the twin hulls, significantly reduces drag, boosting speed, stability, and fuel efficiency by more than 40%.
Powered by two Volvo Penta IPS engines, the BGF45 ensures unparalleled cruising comfort, even at speeds above 30 knots, offering a smooth ride and effortless handling.
Thanks to the synergy between Luca Santella and Zuccon International Project, the BGF45 maximizes the wider space of a multihull, offering an open layout with two cabins and a versatile third room inside. The exterior features a spacious sundeck and a sleek beach area that enhances the open-air lifestyle onboard.
