This Monday was a day filled with happiness and pride as the shipyard’s flagship construction, the 80m Bilgin 263 project’s hull & superstructure were launched from their metal works facility in Yalova.
The nascent vessel was then towed to Bilgin Yachts’ brand-new outfitting facilities at Istanbul West Marina and carefully placed in one of the three 90m+ slots of the massive megayacht hangar.
Due for delivery at the end of 2019, the vessel features styling and naval architecture by the prolific office of Unique Yacht Design and a striking interior styling by H2 Design Studio. She promises outstanding performances, both in terms of top speed and range efficiency thanks to a fully optimised and tank-tested hull. The interior boasts stunning arrangements in spacious volumes, with the indoor pool of the huge beach club spa area being a major feature.
“Today is another proud day for our company” says İsmail Şengün, Bilgin’s CEO, “We are happy to see how beautiful the boat is and really look forward to presenting her to the world in a couple of years.”
The vessels is being built to ABS classification and LY3 compliance. Same as for her sistership, which is trailing her by six months, she will be the biggest luxury yacht to be built in Turkey to date.
Bilgin Yachts is also currently building a second 48-meter of the Bilgin 156 series, which is available for purchase. Same as for the first launch of the Bilgin 156 series, M/Y NERISSA, which is lying in the south of France and available for private viewings.
