Following the sale of the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M in July 2021, with Lukas Stratmann representing the buyer, her much-anticipated launch took place on Friday 1st April 2022 in Viareggio, Italy. Named EH2 and inspired by the Benetti navettas of the sixties, this 36.8m (120’9″) Motopanfilo follows in the bow wave of the iconic leisure yachts owned by the likes of Prince Rainier and David Bowie in their day.
Radiating desirability thanks to her exclusive styling, EH2’s clean cut lines give a nod to Benetti’s original features in the sophisticated exterior design by Francesco Struglia. The beautiful interior is the brainchild of Lazzarini Pickering Architetti, delivering a fresh and inspiring creative. Retaining a certain degree of elegant nostalgia, the main focus has been to fully showcase her excellent interior volume together with versatile spaces throughout.
One of EH2’s standout features is the 1960’s clamshell silhouette of the cool beach club zone, engaging modern tech for access with an integrated stern swim platform-come-terrace. Similarly, the seemingly suspended upper-level observation deck above the hard top delivers a unique private hideaway to soak up seclusion and sensational vistas.
Overall EH2 presents a sophisticated and timeless design, where subtle elements of the past are incorporated within a thoroughly innovative yacht. Lukas Stratmann commented “For me, the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M is the ultimate in simplicity, blending iconic elements of a classic sixties heritage with decidedly twenty-first century thinking. We are delighted to see EH2 launch and look forward to delivery to her owner this May. The yacht will then be available for summer charters with Ocean Independence in the Mediterranean”.
