Barracuda Tour by Beneteau

The third Barracuda Tour by Beneteau is taking place on the first three weekends of the month of June 2015, will have three successive stages this year in Arcachon, Paimpol and Concarneau.

The final one in Concarneau (19-21 June) will be the highlight of this great gathering of Barracuda fans, and will be run alongside the Open des Glénan.

The only event to bring together twenty one-design boats in a bass no-kill fishing competition, the Barracuda tour is an opportunity for the four hundred keen fishers taken on board to weigh each other up on equal terms in a competitive atmosphere full of fun. The arrangements by the Beneteau Boatyard, dealers of the brand and fifteen partners is now a reference, whether in terms of the participants, boat equipment or how well the event is organized.

The Barracuda 7s made available by Beneteau, equipped and piloted by the brand’s dealers, will take crews of four fishers on board, from 5 to 7 June in Arcachon, from 12 to 14 June in Paimpol and lastly from 19 to 21 Juin in Concarneau. Moreover, we invite all the owners of Barracuda 7s or 9s to make up up their own crew and be there for the start of the competition.

Each stage will take place in two legs, followed by a closing ceremony which will award the crew winning the stage. An overall ranking will be announced at the end of the last stage in Concarneau, discerning the overall winner of the 2015 Barracuda Tour, in the footsteps of the Lowrance MCTechnologies team.

Six official suppliers will equip each boat with similar equipment, selected among their latest innovations, contributing actively to the success of this one-design competition. As for our institutional and service providing partners, they will provide expertise on logistics issues. All contributors to the event will welcome the public at the Event Village set up on the harbours at each of the stages.

With the success of the last two Barracuda tours, this year it has taken on an international dimension, since we have already registered American, Japanese, Polish, Italian and Spanish crews among the first to take part. At the same time, the first German Barracuda Tour will be inaugurated next May at Kröslin, on the Baltic Sea.
