Baglietto reaches new milestone with the launch of the T60

Baglietto launches its flagship: The first T60, a 60m motor yacht -the largest vessel ever built by the shipyard– hits the water.

Baglietto Shipyard reaches a new milestone today, marking a decisive step in the company’s growth path. The launch of hull no. 10260, the first unit of the T60 model designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design — who also developed the interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini — represents the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard in its long history dating back to 1854. With her 60 meters in length and approximately 1.100 GT, she stands as a new benchmark for the brand.

A celebration of heritage and innovation

An event filled with emotion and pride, shared by all those in attendance: from the Owner, present with his family and friends, to the shipyard’s top management and the Gavio Group, owner of the brand. Numerous civil, regional and military authorities were also in attendance, including the Italian Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Edoardo Rixi, the President of the Liguria Region Marco Bucci, accompanied by the Regional Councillor for Civil Protection Giacomo Raul Giampedrone, the Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini, the Prefect Andrea Cantadori and the Chief of Police Sebastiano Salvo. Also present was Lorena Bianchetti, already godmother of the shipyard’s 170th anniversary, along with representatives of the Armed Forces.

Following speeches by the shipyard’s management, the Mayor of La Spezia and the President of the Region — all expressing their satisfaction for an achievement that represents a source of national pride — the Italian national anthem, “Il Canto degli Italiani”, performed by tenor Amadi Lagha, opened a deeply emotional moment that culminated in the traditional bottle-breaking ceremony by the yacht’s godmother. The sound of trumpets then marked the moment when the yacht touched the water. The launch was also conceived as a great celebration for the shipyard community. The ceremony was in fact open to all Baglietto employees and their families, who were able to witness first-hand the completion of a project to which each of them contributed over the years. Making the day even more special was the presence of numerous children from local primary and middle schools. A creative contest dedicated to them on the theme of the sea was organized with the support of the Municipality of La Spezia and Confindustria La Spezia. The final stage of the contest will take place on May 23, on the occasion of the World Boating Day, when the works created by the students will be presented and the winners will receive vouchers for the purchase of educational materials.

A Vision for the Future

“This launch,” commented Diego Michele Deprati, CEO of Baglietto, “represents an extraordinary milestone for our shipyard and for all the people who work every day with passion to support Baglietto’s growth. A launch is always a moment of great emotion because it crowns years of work and marks the realization of a dream — the owner’s dream, which becomes our own. Today, the emotion is also fueled by the awareness of having written another milestone in the history of this glorious shipyard. A special thought,” the CEO continued, “goes to the many young people who attended the ceremony. It is to them that we must look when we speak about the future of yachting: to their ideas, their curiosity and their ability to imagine the sea as a place of work, innovation and beauty. Our task is not only to build ever more ambitious yachts, but also to create opportunities and skills for the new generations who will carry this tradition forward.”

With the launch of the first T60, Baglietto once again confirms its ability to combine tradition, innovation and industrial vision, projecting the shipyard toward new challenges and achievements in the international high-end yachting landscape.

About hull #10260

With her 60 meters in length and approximately 1.100 GT, the T60 represents the natural evolution of the successful T52, reinterpreted in an innovative and forward-looking way. The soft lines appear even sleeker thanks to the powerful yet lightened side structures that seem almost “suspended,” blending into the structure of the external overhang. The characteristic black glass band incorporating the portholes — now a true leitmotif of Baglietto’s most recent creations — further enhances the yacht’s streamlined effect. The layout is completely innovative and conceived to eliminate the traditional separation between interior and exterior spaces. Full-height windows in the main salon and upper deck, fully retractable and entirely openable, transform the interiors into dynamic environments that continuously interact with the sea and the surrounding landscape. Onboard spaces can therefore evolve throughout the day: informal and open to outdoor living during daytime hours, more intimate and representative in the evening, while never losing direct contact with the water.

The beach area, main salon and dining room are conceived as one large interconnected environment. A beach lounge of approximately 60 sqm, featuring a pool, bar, conversation area and gym, welcomes guests upon arrival and leads to the main salon through a spectacular open staircase. The result is a two-level space of nearly 100 sqm, complemented by the dining room with a fully opening glass wall, creating an extraordinary living area right at water level. The first T60 also introduces a particularly original configuration: the entire upper deck is dedicated to the owner and transformed into a fully walkable Owners’ deck. The owner’s suite is accessed from a central lobby where a glass elevator is also located. The suite includes a private office, walk-in wardrobe and a large bathroom with separate facilities. The sleeping area is surrounded by opening windows on three sides that lead directly to the private forward pool. Aft, the lounge area opens onto the outdoor dining table through fully retractable glass walls, while a Jacuzzi and a large sunbathing area complete this exclusive deck.

Guest accommodations include four cabins on the main deck — two VIP and two guest cabins — while a fifth cabin is located on the lower deck. The same deck also houses a massage room, a large galley designed for haute cuisine and the crew quarters with crew mess, dinette and seven cabins for a total of 13 crew members. The entire under-lower deck is dedicated to technical and service areas, including storage spaces, a wine cellar, luggage storage and cold rooms. The wheelhouse is positioned on the sun deck, where the captain’s cabin, an additional dining area and large sunbathing areas both forward and aft are also located. The garage, situated at the bow of the main deck, can accommodate a 23-foot tender, two jet skis and a rescue tender. A touch-and-go helicopter platform is also located forward. The T60 is equipped with two CAT 3512 engines, allowing for a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
