Azimut launches Seadeck 9, the largest yacht ever built in Avigliana and a symbol of the Shipyard’s technological and manufacturing excellence.
Some projects can be born anywhere. Others, due to their complexity, vision, and ambition, can only exist in one place. Seadeck 9 belongs to the latter category and to the Azimut shipyard in Avigliana. This is where strategic craftsmanship, manufacturing, and cutting-edge technology converge in excellence.
At 26 meters, the flagship of the Seadeck Series is a tangible expression of the site’s genius loci, the perfect union between craftsmanship and industry. An expertise developed over the years is supported by a €50 million investment plan, launched in 2023, which has redesigned spaces, processes, and production flows, enabling the construction of yachts up to 27 meters.
“Avigliana represents a unique reality in the industry: building boats at the feet of mountains has encouraged us to develop new solutions, to push our technical and engineering capabilities to the limit, and to manage the entire process, from fiberglass and carbon to the finished boat. Seadeck 9 is the product of fifty years spent making the unthinkable possible, fifty years of challenges overcome,” says Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of the Azimut|Benetti Group.
Seadeck 9 – exteriors by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez – is the most mature expression of the Series’ promise: back to nature. The Fun Island opens like a stage on the water: terraces extend across three levels, a pool reflects the sky, and the platform descends to embrace the sea. A 60-square-meter area designed to be experienced and shared. At the stern, the concept of “lifestyle” reclaims its true meaning: a space that cannot be imagined as anything other than vibrant.
The interiors embody the same philosophy. Each space interprets the principles of Conscious Design by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez: empathetic spaces where beauty and well-being reinforce each other. Thun & Rodriguez create a simple and elegant language centered on the relationship between people and the environment. The large, floor-to-ceiling windows and natural light deliver on the back-to-nature promise even inside, thanks to an architecture that becomes alive and sensorial, transforming with the sea.
Continuing the sustainability journey already underway with the Series, the Seadeck 9 is ready to install the Volvo Penta hybrid propulsion system, confirming an approach that integrates technological innovation and environmental consciousness.
The Seadeck 9 will be delivered to her owner in the summer of 2026 and will debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
