Azimut Yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show

Azimut Yachts takes part in the Monaco Yachts Show for the second time in a row with its Grande Collection, confirming the brand positioning in the superyacht segment.

Azimut Grande 32 Metri makes her official debut in the superyacht sector, following her successful premiere in Cannes.

Azimut Yachts is back in Monaco for the most luxurious boat show in the Mediterranean; the shipyard once again proves to be one of the protagonist in the superyacht segment, thanks to the presence of 3 yachts from the Grande Collection: Grande 27 Metri, Grande 32 Metri and the flagship Grande 35 Metri.

Azimut Grande 32 Metri takes her place among the super yachts, after the debut one week ago during the Cannes Yachting Festival, where was awarded with the title of ‘Best Interior Design’ by the Word Yachts Trophy’s jury. Yet another demonstration of the shipyard’s design creativity, the new Grande 32 Metri proposes unprecedented solutions for this size category that give the model the undisputed stature of a superyacht and make it unique in terms of its use of volumes and the number of settings.

The combination of Carbon Tech and the exclusive D2P® hull improves consumption efficiency higher than the 30% and deliver significant benefits in terms of range, so much so that with a displacement speed of 12 knots the yacht has a range of 1,000 nautical miles. Stefano Righini has crafted powerful exterior lines, with style elements that sweep towards the stern and trick the eye by giving no hint of the large volumes inside, while the refined interiors are by Achille Salvagni, who created a style characterised by a delicate harmony that reprises the line’s family feeling, and a timeless elegance. The engine room is fitted with a pair of 2,200 mHP MTU model 16V M86 units, driving the yacht to a maximum speed of 26,5 knots, while the cruising speed has been calculated at about 21 knots.

The Azimut Grande 27 Metri, unique in her category, offers an exclusive widebody concept with the owner’s suite on the main deck and the possibility of five cabins, in what is an almost unique feature for a boat this size. Characterized by the extensive use of carbon fiber and the large volumes.

The sinuous lines and forms of the interior and exterior decorations, as well as furnishings, are by Achille Salvagni. The planing “deep V” hull (Hard-Chine) that has been tank tested at the Brodarsky Institute in Zagabria and was designed to meet and exceed the highest construction standards on the market. The yacht is powered by two MAN V12 engines delivering 1,900 HP each. Azimut Grande 27 Metri has been designed following the most innovative technical solutions identified by Azimut’s Innovation Lab in the framework of the ECS – Enhanced Cruising Solutions programme to offer the best possible yacht management.

Drawing the expertise of Stefano Righini, who defined the concept and designed the exteriors, the Azimut Grande 35 Metri represents a masterpiece of style and space. The yacht has a Wide Body with Raised Pilot House (RPH) and supremely sleek exteriors, featuring exceptionally sized full-height windows in both the bow and salon.

The entire superstructure and hardtop are made from pure carbon fiber, wich make it possible to add an additional sundeck (almost 30 m2) on a third level. The D2P_Displacement to Planing® hull combines the comfort typical of a displacement hull with the performance of a planing hull and has been optimised for the full range of most frequently used speeds. The yacht, with two MTU 16V2000 M93 engines rated 2,400 hp each, has an estimated cruising speed of 21 knots and a top speed of 25.5 knots.

Commenting the shipyard presence at the Monaco Yacht show, Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut Yachts, stated: “Currently the Grande Collection counts five models and the range will be increased with new models of even greater dimensions, given the incredible feedbacks we have received for this collection. Our presence at this Monaco show is the natural consequence of this strategic approach”.
