ARES Yachts elevates superyacht innovation with two visionary projects

ARES Yachts redefines luxury at sea, merging naval-grade engineering with visionary design through its groundbreaking SPITFIRE and ATLAS superyacht projects.

In a world where true innovation in yachting is increasingly rare, ARES Yachts continues to quietly shape the future of luxury at sea. Based in Antalya and backed by decades of naval, commercial and advanced composite expertise, the Turkish shipyard is steadily building a reputation as one of the industry’s most technically capable and financially stable new-generation yacht builders, a yard trusted not only for design vision, but for structural depth and long-term reliability. With its superyacht division now fully in motion, ARES Yachts is spotlighting two standout projects that define the yard’s DNA: SPITFIRE, now in build, and ATLAS, a next-generation explorer concept. Together, they form a clear statement. This is an engineering pedigree expressed through modern luxury.

Performance, reimagined as lifestyle

The 50.55-metre SPITFIRE is not a nostalgic tribute. It’s a translation of aviation engineering into modern superyacht living. Designed inside and out by Bannenberg & Rowell, the yacht draws its spirit from the legendary British aircraft, but the execution is firmly 21st century. Built in advanced composites, SPITFIRE combines a sleek, low-profile silhouette with a high-performance fast displacement platform derived from ARES’ proven offshore patrol vessel expertise. The result is a yacht capable of 20 knots, long-range cruising, and hybrid diesel-electric operation, including extended silent modes for emission-free nights at anchor.

Inside, the atmosphere is refined, tactile and quietly bold. Metallic accents, leather, tinted glass and architectural detailing create a design language that feels more private jet lounge than traditional yacht interior. Set forward on the main deck, the owner’s suite opens to sweeping 270-degree views. A freestanding bed defines the room; outside, a private foredeck cockpit converts into an open-air cinema. Four spacious guest cabins below deck carry through the same quiet, contemporary elegance.

But SPITFIRE is ultimately about how people live on board. Her expansive beach club converts between lounge, cinema and gym; glazed walls open entire social areas to the sea; upper deck entertaining spaces flow seamlessly from indoor wardroom to outdoor grill and sun zones. The experience is fluid, open and deliberately informal — performance engineering supporting real, modern life on the water. Currently under construction on speculation, SPITFIRE is structured for an efficient completion timeline once an owner steps in.

The private exploration retreat

If SPITFIRE is about dynamic performance, the 54-metre ATLAS concept is about freedom of range and depth of experience. Its design is penned by Hot Lab, part of the Viken Group, and naval architecture is by Van Oossanen. ATLAS sits just under 500 GT yet delivers the presence and capability of a much larger expedition yacht.

Her most striking feature is a multi-level forward owner’s terrace, a private, sea-facing retreat complete with spa pool. The master suite opens directly onto this space, turning the bow into a secluded oceanfront residence. Aft, the beach club evolves into a three-sided open lounge thanks to fold-down terraces, cocktail bar and direct water access, less swim platform, more floating resort deck.

The layout throughout prioritizes flow between interior and exterior, creating a constant connection to the environment.

Underneath the lifestyle is serious capability: a Fast Displacement Hull Form for efficiency at all speeds, transoceanic range approaching 5,000 nautical miles, a side-launching tender garage, extensive toy capacity and helipad capability. Hybrid solutions and reduced-emission technologies are also integral to the platform. ATLAS is designed for owners who want the infrastructure of exploration without giving up the design sophistication of a contemporary superyacht.

Engineering credibility

What distinguishes ARES Yachts is not just design ambition, but background. The yard’s roots in high-performance naval and commercial vessels translate into advanced composite know-how, robust engineering standards and production discipline rarely found in boutique superyacht builds. Combined with its modern facilities in Antalya and a track record of delivering complex vessels, ARES represents a new type of builder: design-driven, but infrastructure-strong; creative, yet commercially stable. While SPITFIRE moving forward in build and ATLAS defining the next chapter, ARES Yachts is positioning itself not as a newcomer but as a serious long-term player at the intersection of technology, performance and luxury lifestyle at sea.
