AB Yachts: The first unit of the AB 95S launched

AB Yachts, a brand of Next Yacht Group, announces the launch at its Viareggio shipyard of the first unit of the AB 95S, the Sport version of the AB 95, created to further enhance the brand’s high-performance DNA.

With this new model, AB Yachts confirms its vocation for speed and technological innovation, presenting a yacht designed for owners seeking pure adrenaline and the unforgettable thrill of speed on the water—always with safety and style. The AB 95S reaches and exceeds a top speed of 53 knots in the “fast lap” configuration.

The sale to an experienced American owner was handled by the brokerage house FGI Yacht Group, particularly by broker Simon Graham, who commented: “The launch marks an exciting milestone for the owner and for the entire team that worked on the project, and we are proud to have represented the buyer in bringing such an exceptional yacht to life.”

The AB 95S stands out for an even sleeker and more aggressive aesthetic. This Sport version features flowing, sporty lines with a wraparound windshield—an iconic element that emphasizes the vessel’s racing character—and an opening roof integrated into the aerodynamic profile of the superstructure. This design choice visually lowers the yacht’s lines, enhances the purity of the design, and allows the main deck to be experienced with a strong open-air connection, while maintaining the unmistakable AB Yachts silhouette.

Main deck

The main deck is conceived as an open, continuous space where the perception of speed is paired with brightness and openness toward the sea. Aft, a true beach area by the water is fully equipped and ready to enjoy, accommodating the tender and numerous water toys, including a tender of over 4 meters, a jet ski, and multiple inflatables, all designed for easy handling. The cockpit welcomes guests into an ideal setting for socializing and relaxation, seamlessly connected with the interior salon. Large glass surfaces and the wraparound windshield provide commanding views of the horizon, while the opening roof enhances the sense of freedom while cruising.

The helm station—one of AB Yachts’ high-tech elements—has been developed in collaboration with Fincantieri for the exclusive “integrated bridge by AB Yachts.” Perfectly integrated into the deck layout, it reflects the brand’s technical spirit: ergonomics, total control, and advanced instrumentation designed for precise handling even at high speeds. Material research has led to the use of insulated panels, leather, and suede, helping to create quieter environments below deck and reduce noise levels.

Lower deck

The lower deck hosts the sleeping area, designed to offer maximum comfort and privacy. Depending on the configuration selected by the owner, the spaces can accommodate up to 8 guests, with a full-beam owner’s suite and guest cabins finished with meticulous attention to detail. Careful selection of materials, finishes, and lighting creates a refined and contemporary atmosphere, where Italian design meets functional solutions tailored for life on board at high speed. A separate crew area ensures efficient operations and discretion during navigation.

Perfomance

The AB 95S is among the first yachts on the market equipped with MAN V12X-2200 engines, delivering a total of 6,600 horsepower of pure adrenaline. Hull and deck are built in composite material with extensive use of carbon fiber, a choice that keeps displacement to approximately 93 tonnes and optimizes the power-to-weight ratio. In this configuration, the yacht exceeds 53 knots of top speed (fast lap), offering rapid and progressive acceleration, excellent maneuverability, and control even at higher speeds, as well as outstanding performance in terms of vibration and noise levels. The result is smooth, stable, and engaging navigation—safe and efficient—where performance, fun, and comfort coexist in perfect balance. Following the launch at the Viareggio shipyard, the yacht has begun its first sea trials and will proceed with the final outfitting stages before delivery to the owner next April.
