YN 19255 Project Pollux

Heesen is delighted to announce that the construction of Project Pollux, 55m Steel FDHF, is on schedule and the yacht is available for delivery in Autumn 2020.

The 55m Steel Class sports a masculine profile penned by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Chiselled lines, floor to ceiling windows, and open bulwarks characterise the exterior design of this successful class. With tenders and toys conveniently stored on the fore deck, the lazarette is entirely dedicated to the guests. The luxurious beach club and wellness area epitomises the best of yacht life. This is the perfect retreat to enjoy life close to the water.

British design studio Bannenberg & Rowell has optimised the 760GT voluminous interior of Project Pollux. A blend of natural, noble tones and a tailored spatial arrangement lends the environment gravitas and wide appeal. Smoked Oak chevron parquet flooring, white Thassos, grey Saint Laurent and ivory Travertine marble throughout are paired with bronze accents, fine workmanship and furnishings. Smart design, refined materials and effortless comfort combine to provide an elegant welcome to guests aboard Pollux. Social areas, both on the main and bridge deck, benefit from floor to ceiling windows and large aft doors offering unparalleled vistas and a seamless connection to the outdoors.

Twelve guests are accommodated in five staterooms. The 82 square meters Owner’s apartment is located forward on the main deck. The neutral design philosophy is carried out with a soft palette of layered taupes, browns and creams. A his and hers bathroom sports both a large bath tub with a view and a separate shower. Two twins and two double guest suites are located on the lower deck, while the fifth cabin, the VIP is located on the bridge deck.
Powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) diesel engines, and thanks to her slippery FDHF, Project Pollux will reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and will have a remarkable range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.

Project Pollux’s hull and superstructure were recently joined together at the shipyard in Oss, where the yacht will remain for the next sixteen months to complete her construction to the highest Dutch quality standards. After commissioning, Project Pollux will depart from the shipyard to be tested during rigorous sea trials in the North Sea. Project Pollux presents the unique opportunity to acquire a high quality, Dutch built 55m with a fast delivery time.
