The release of its first compilation album One Night at the Gstaad Palace – Fine Music Selection by Jim Leblanc & Andrea Scherz is the first time the hotel has expressed its close relationship with music in purely digital form.
Seventeen tracks by world-renowned artists such as DJ duo Blank & Jones from Cologne and Irish songwriter Tara McDonald are now available to download in the iTunes Store.
“The Gstaad Palace has always lived and breathed music,” explains Andrea Scherz, thirdgeneration owner and general manager of the hotel. “Glamorous gala dinners with global stars such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Marlene Dietrich are among the most glittering spectacles in our hotel’s history, and our very own in-house club, GreenGo, is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. Some evenings there are as many as five different bands performing live at the hotel. This new compilation album is designed to reflect the Gstaad Palace’s distinctive joie de vivre.”
Produced in close collaboration with Jim Leblanc, resident DJ and art director at the Gstaad Palace, the CD is a stylish selection of contemporary-classical tracks, underscored with a touch of 70s and 80s disco. A composer and producer himself with almost 20 years’ experience, Leblanc also appears on the compilation with his tracks “This Feels like L.A.” and “Slow Down.”

One Night at the Gstaad Palace is now available to download in the iTunes Store (www.lnk.to/Gstaad_Palace), with the second compilation album scheduled for release next winter.
