The Fraternity of the Athenian Hydriots (established in 1890, www.aya.com.gr) has the pleasure to announce the 6th Hydra Shipping Conference.The title of the conference this year is: “Piraeus and the Greek Crisis” and it will take place at the Historic Archives – Museum of Hydra, on Saturday, the 12th of September 2015.
Featuring keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions, this year’s conference will focus on the following topics for discussion: Can Piraeus maintain its world status as a major Shipping hub? What are the pros and cons for Shipping companies moving out of Greece to other capitals offering tax free status? How will the maritime servicing industry cope? (i.e. Banking, Insurance, Legal, Chartering/S+P Brokerage, Crewing, etc.) What effect will the withdrawal of International Banks from Piraeus have?
