Rhoades Young Design

Rhoades Young Design is delighted to announce their nomination for 3 World Superyacht Awards.

The coveted nominations are for the elegant 30m sloop Antares III built in New Zealand by Yachting Developments, the 42m Sarissa – a carbon high performance sloop from Vitters and the exceptional 67m Pilot Cutter styled ultra lightweight high performance Hetairos, without doubt the most innovative, groundbreaking sailing yacht launched for a generation.

Jonathan Rhoades, Director, notes, 'With such varied and extraordinary projects to launch in such a short timeframe, it has been a really exciting time for us. It is testament to the hard work of everyone involved, not just my team but the yards, naval architects, and the Clients themselves that have made it all such an enjoyable process and a great success.'

Incredibly, Antares III, Sarissa and Hetairos were not the only launches last year for the world leading yacht design studio. As well as several smaller production yachts, Rhoades Young Design also launched Kamaxitha, the 49m Spirit of Tradition Ketch at the end of the 2011. Built at Royal Huisman Shipyard with naval architecture by Dykstra, she epitomises the classical romance of ocean voyaging. More details will follow on this captivating superyacht as they become available.

With the 37m classic sailing yacht, Project Bugamena due for launch at Royal Huisman in the coming months as well as the fast 43m Frers cruising sloop Black Papillon, a 48m classic and the 22m ocean cruising sloop Bougainville, all well in build, 2012 looks to be even more exciting for the highly skilled Rhoades Young team.
