S/Y Aegir. Leading Cruiser/Racer

In the company’s 21st anniversary year Rogers Yacht Design has won the International Superyacht Society (ISS) Best Sailing Yacht Design Award: 24m-40m with its first superyacht.

S/Y Aegir is an 82ft cruiser racer for Brian Benjamin, who asked Rogers to design a superyacht that could be cruised for 70% of the time and raced for the remaining 30%.

The boat can be converted from its full luxury superyacht interior in a few days, shedding some eight tonnes in the process.
She has proved herself in her luxurious cruising mode and recently showed her racing pedigree at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Sardinia, pushing the Cruiser Racer Class to the final race, in which she finished second by just four seconds.Rogers Yacht Design was also acknowledged for the interior design and styling of Aegir, which were all undertaken in house.
