Nautor’s Swan is proud to announce a new addition to its extensive and highly successful SwanLine: the Swan 54. A pure bluewater cruiser designed by world renowned naval architect German Frers, who has been working alongside Nautor's Swan for more than two decades.

With the first of four Swan 115 yachts ready for its launch, the unveiling of the new Swan 54 is an exciting development from the legendary Finnish boatbuilder, as Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Nautor’s Swan, explains: “When our company’s founder Pekka Koskenkylä built the Swan 36, he defined the core values of Nautor’s Swan: elegance, performance, reliability, fine attention to detail and timeless design. We take great pride in creating yachts that are loved by their owners, who choose Swan for the pure joy of sailing, as our owners are at the core of our company. I attribute Nautor’s success to our forward looking vision, leading the curve in the design and build of sailing yachts.”

Today, Nautor’s Swan range is one of the broadest of any yacht builder, ranging from 54 to 115 feet. All Swans are built exclusively in-house, with complete control over quality, at Nautor’s extensive facilities in Northern Finland.

The Swan 54 is characterized by a moderate displacement hull and high performance lead keel, and is also available with variable draught (1.4 metres), an efficient daggerboard and twin rudders. The sail plan is designed for maximum performance, yet easy handling, with a generous foretriangle.

The deck layout has been developed to ensure comfortable sailing with limited crew and provide areas designed to best enjoy life onboard. The transom opens fully into a wide swim platform allowing direct access to the water.

Numerous ports and flush hatches provide ventilation and natural light in the interior, with the option of four large windows in the hull. Coachroof mounted jib tracks leading directly to the winches, enable better pointing ability and completely clear decks. Four electric winches, positioned close to the helmsman, facilitate shorthanded sailing. There is plenty of storage space throughout including the sail locker forward, cockpit locker on the starboard side, as well as in the aft lazarette.

Similar to the deck layout, the interior has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for long periods, both under sail and at anchor. The use of natural oak throughout, combined with the quality finish and materials Swan is known for, creates a bright and refined ambience. The original configuration offers three double cabins, with the owner’s cabin forward and two guest cabins, one central and the other aft. There is also a fourth cabin dedicated to systems and storage, including the generator and washing machine, with the possibility to add a worktable so as to convert it into a crew cabin. The galley, one of the largest in this class of yacht, is located in the most stable part of the boat and close to the companionway, enabling to cook comfortably even while underway.

The hull of the Swan 54 is built with single skin construction using glassfibre reinforced vinylester laminate, with multiaxial or unidirectional fibres in selected areas. The deck is in sandwich with closed cell foam core, which reduces weight and insulates.
