Luxury British boat builder, Fairline Yachts, was last night (7th May) announced as a winner at the UK’s Motor Boat Awards, held at the Corinthia Hotel in London.
The Targa 43 OPEN, which made its worldwide debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, has taken home the title in the “Sportscruisers up to 45ft” category at Motor Boat & Yachting’s Motor Boat Awards.
David Tydeman, CEO & Chairman at Fairline Yachts, comments, “The Motor Boat Awards are one of the UK’s most highly anticipated boating celebrations and we’re humbled to have received this much-coveted recognition by the esteemed judging panel.”
The Motor Boat Awards are hosted by Motor Boat & Yachting magazine and the entries are judged purely on the boats’ design, ability and value for money in their chosen market place. The shortlisted contestants were each sea-trialled and rigorously tested by the magazine’s technical experts.
ImageWinning the hotly contested “Sportscruisers up to 45ft” category is the second award for the Targa 43 OPEN, which was also crowned winner of the Best Exterior Design in the 14-18m category at the World Yacht Trophies 2018. The sleek and stylish express cruiser has been designed by Alberto Mancini. With two large cabins and two heads, it boasts a large sunbed over the tender garage and an expansive cockpit seating area – the perfect arrangement for enjoying time on board. The twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 D6-435 engines offer a comfortable cruise at 26 knots and onwards to a maximum speed of 31 knots.
